The bus will pick up varsity and take us to Providence Hall at 4:30. Everyone will ride the bus back to Summit after the game.

Sunday, January 12: Varsity: Study Z13 in your binders, especially the "Keys" found on page 9-12, particularly Short Corner, Pop the Post, Wing Cut, and Point-Corner, as we will implement these this week in preparation for Grantsville and Morgan's zones. Also study the zone set Runner, and the zone play Zipper.

Tuesday, January 14: Practice 5-7 at Independence.
Wednesday, January 15: Games at Grantsville High School. Tentative plan: Checkout 1:15, bus at 1:30. This is a slight adjustment from the original published schedule.

Christmas Break Schedule
I have two homework assignments for you guys over the break, and one schedule update:
1. Four separate days over the break, watch a game film. I want you to watch games on different days if you can instead of all on one day because you will process them better. They are all on Hudl. If you have an issue with being able to find one, let me know. Watch them in this order:
-Our game vs. Rowland Hall
-Judge-Kearns
-Ridgeline-Pineview
-ICS-American Heritage
2. Read the book Make Your Bed. I suggest reading two chapters/lessons a day. There are ten in all. Choose two that seem particularly applicable to you, your role, and the needs of our team. Write a paragraph about each of the two lessons, ideas, or principles, and specifically explain in detail how you are going to apply it to our team in the final 8 weeks of our season (yes, that's all we have left - it goes fast!). This should be done on paper - typed, or handwritten, either one is fine with me.

Revised Schedule for December 16-21 and Varsity Homework Assignment
Varsity Homework Assignment: Watch the Hunter film. Find two plays in each quarter that we should have and can correct moving forward that will help us win the game. Text them to me individually (not on the group chat). If they involve you, that's best. If they don't involve you, that's okay, too - you can still learn from the mistakes of others. I want to know the time on the game film (it's about 1 hour and 3 minutes long) and the exact thing that should have been done. Example: 1:03:15, the Jazz allow the Bulls to isolate Jordan at the top and don't double him and he hits the final shot - they should have doubled him and made him kick it to another player. This must be texted to me by midnight Monday in order for you to play in the next game (i.e. anyone who doesn't do it won't play in the Merit varsity game and/or the Rowland Hall JV game).

Tentative Schedule for December 9-December 21
Note: Due to the unique nature of our gym situation, locations and times are tentative and subject to change. This may differ from the calendar in the varsity binders for reasons beyond my control.
Monday, 12/9: Sophomores at Summit 3-5; Varsity at Independence 3:30-5:30.
Tuesday, 12/10: Sophomore game at Juan Diego (bus to leave at 4 PM); Varsity hopefully at Independence 4:30-6:30. If this is cancelled, we'll try to squeeze practice in at Summit from 3-4:30 before wrestling.
Wednesday, 12/11: Varsity only endowment game vs. Utah Military Academy. Sophomore/JV practice and Varsity walk-through at 5 PM this day. Sophomores are expected to attend the varsity game. All players should bring home gear as we may have team photographs this day though that is still being worked out.
Thursday, 12/12: Sophomore practice 3:00-4:00 at Summit; Varsity practice 4:00-6:00 at Summit with film until 7:00.
